Profile

Focus on the people.

This guiding principle is reflected in all facets of the Katholische Stiftungshochschule München University of Applied Sciences. As a profile university, we offer degree programmes in the fields of social work, nursing, healthcare and education at our two locations in Munich and Benediktbeuern and thus focus on professional, intensive and, above all, practice-oriented teaching.

Students can approach our teachers at all times and both sides benefit from small group and class sizes. As a university of applied sciences, the KSH has worked on projects in research and teaching for many decades, with relevant practical partners in social and healthcare services (charitable organisations, public agencies, hospitals, etc.). It thus ensures that its students receive the maximum possible connection with real life practice.

The Ellen Ammann seminar building in Munich, which was completed in 2020, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Students have access to seminar rooms with lots of natural light as well as areas for independent learning or group work. The EduLab and the simulation labs enable students from the fields of education, nursing and midwifery to learn about the requirements of everyday professional life in a calm setting where they can concentrate in a protected space.

The Benediktbeuern location also offers students a campus with modern technical equipment. A One Button Record Studio gives students and teachers the opportunity to create lecture and demonstration videos at the touch of a button. Benediktbeuern also offers additional qualifications in theology, experiential pedagogy and music pedagogy. A spacious campus, workshops, media labs, sports rooms and a specialised library enable concentrated, multi-faceted studies.

After a Bachelor's degree, graduates are prepared for everyday working life and at the same time have the opportunity to opt for a Master's degree programme at the KSH Munich. The Katholische Stiftungshochschule München University of Applied Sciences also cooperates in the field of doctoral studies with the LMU Munich, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Munich School of Philosophy (HfPh).

Studying at the KSH is open to everyone, regardless of denomination or ideology.
